MyST has been developed to support the creation of technical and scientific documentation based on Sphinx and Docutils. It can be used in JupyterBooks, Python, JupyterLab and more.

In JupyterLab, a subset of features of MyST is available. A good starting point to discover the capabilities of MyST in Jupyter notebooks is the quickstart guide and the syntax guide. It is recommended to download the examples referenced in the guide. They provide a good starting point for your own MyST documents.
