Students should be able to:
- Describe the movement of pendula and springs by defining the forces, setting up the equation of motion and solving simple equations of motion.
- Describe the transfer of potential to kinetic energy during the oscillation of a pendulum or a spring.
- Identify amplitude and frequency in position functions of oscillations.
- Calculate the eigenfrequency of a harmonic oscillator with given mass and spring constant.
Warmup your students! Ask two activating questions at the beginning and at the end of the lesson
