Lesson 11. Harmonische Oszillatoren mit und ohne Antrieb

Students should be able to:

  • Differentiate between undamped, damped, overdamped and critically damped harmonic oscillation both on a conceptual and mathematical level.
  • Compile the equation of motion for simple examples of forced oscillations.
  • Discuss examples of resonance in forced oscillators.
  • Read off the frequency, amplitude and phase from a given wavefunction.

 

Warmup your students: ask  activating questions at the beginning  of the lesson
