Lesson 8. Momentum- and Angular momentum-conservation

Students should be able to:

  • Apply conservation of energy to solve mechanical problems.
  • Combine the conservations of momentum and energy to solve elastic or inelastic collision problems.
  • Name the conservation laws of energy, momentum and angular momentum.
  • Calculate angular momentum and torque of mass points in circular motion.
  • Relate angular momentum and torque to each other.
