Students should be able to:
- Differentiate between undamped, damped, overdamped and critically damped harmonic oscillation both on a conceptual and mathematical level.
- Compile the equation of motion for simple examples of forced oscillations.
- Discuss examples of resonance in forced oscillators.
- Read off the frequency, amplitude and phase from a given wavefunction.
- Use the wavefunction to sketch the wave in the time domain and in the spatial domain.
Warmup your students! Ask two activating questions at the beginning and at the end of the lesson
