Lesson 4. Force. Newton’s Laws (intro)

Students should be able to:

  • Calculate the resulting net force as well as the acceleration acting on a body by applying vectorial addition and Newton’s laws.
  • Identify and describe Newton’s laws in real-world examples.
  • Draw “free-body diagrams” of forces acting on bodies.
  • Construct and solve simple equations of motions based single forces.
  • Use the equilibrium of forces to calculate constant velocities.

Warmup your students! Ask two activating questions at the beginning and at the end of the lesson
