Time

Before / After

after  + verb-ing                   After falling suddenly, the prices stabilized

Unfinished ( present perfect):

Over the past 2 years, prices have risen.

Since 2019                  prices have been rising.

Finished (past simple):

In 2020,                      prices rose.

In February of last year, prices began to rise.

On March 1, 2020, prices started to drop.

 

Verbs of change: (verb + -ing):

The change has not reached its endpoint.
