The rules and practices in scientific communication are similar for laboratory reports and theses, and therefore, the guidelines of formatting and scientific writing style (Section 5) can generally be applied also in laboratory reports. Different laboratory courses have guidelines on the length of the reports, but scientific communication style remains the same.
